Happy 2015 !!

 I love celebrating the beginning of a new year!! To me, it's a time of reflection, reassessment and renewal. Most who know me, know I have a pretty high energy level to begin with (I can just imagine all the "ya think?"s and eye rolls taking place at this moment!) but... for some reason, stepping into the new year always charges me up even more. This year was no different. For as exhausting as the holidays were, I seemed to wake up Jan 1st and hit the ground running!

 

Good thing too, because there's a lot on my artistic plate at the moment as well as a lot on my goals list for 2015. Here's a few...

• There's been a lot of feedback about playing with the idea of updating my rendering style. I've already been dabbling a little with different mediums and having a blast! You might even see some of that dabbling here on the blog ;o)
• I will, of course, continue on my journey with drawing humans. I feel good about how far I have come in that department, but my goal was to make my humans play nice with my characters in my illustrations. I'm almost there...
•   Biggest one.... For years I have been asked to write stories to go with my characters. Last year, I stuck my big toe in the water and had a really good response. This year, I'm ready to completely dive in, so...

Here I come, 2015, with tons of creative energy and ideas to explore and THATS something to celebrate! Stay tuned.....
