I attended the NJSCBWI conference this past weekend and I have to say, it was as awesome as ever! Not only did they have great workshops and one-on-ones with art directors and editors, but I got to hang with some great talent as well...very inspiring!
This character study was part of the Illustrator Intensive I signed up for with Sarah Hokanson from Random House. The assignment was to create a character and then show him (or her or it...) in each of the four seasons. This was my finished piece. I got a lot of great advice from the Sarah as well as the group that participated. You'll notice the 4th season is missing. That is for another post...stay tuned!
